WeDo in Lego Education Stores

For those who haven't heard about the new WeDo robotic set that is targeted for younger ages, it is now in the Lego Education Store and has been for a few weeks. It seems that the kit includes Power Functions parts and also some kind of sensors that seem to be Power Functions compatible. There is also programming software a little more basic than NXT-G (standard NXT programming language) that can program some kind of brick that connects to the Power Functions elements and acts like the NXT Brick to control motors and receive information from sensors. There are a lot of included models to build, such as an alligator or soccer goalkeeper. The construction set, including all the pieces and Power Functions elements, is $129.95 USD, and the "activity pack" is also 129.95, but the software is only $39.95. This is about 2/3 as much as an NXT, which most people would argue is too much because the NXT is a lot less limited, but it is for younger kids who aren't at the level where they can handle NXT parts or programming. More info here.
